The Seattle Prep Panther

Alex Martin, Editor-in-Chief

Alex Martin is a senior this year and one of the Co-Editors-in-Chief this year. He has been on the newspaper staff for three years and last year worked as the photo editor.  Alex runs cross country, is a captain of the varsity swim team and plays varsity lacrosse at Prep. In school he is also a Peer Mentor Executive, NHS member and peer note taker. Outside of school he is an Eagle Scout and participates regularly in his Boy Scout Troop as the Senior Patrol Leader. Alex loves sailing with friends and family; his summer job is a sailing instructor at the Seattle Yacht Club. He also greatly enjoys going skiing in the winter with friends and his part time hobby of choice is model ship building.

He lives in Magnolia and has lived in the same house all his life. He went to Creative Arts Pre-School for two years and Our Lady of Fatima for all of his grade school and middle school years. In his near future Alex hopes to have a finance major and a political science minor.

Alex considers himself to be trustworthy, loyal, kind, cheerful and brave. He always works to achieve the best that he has set out for himself, to be genuine with all people and to be good listener for others. Alex wants to be there to help others and to get to know the people around him. Alex Martin is very excited for another year on the newspaper staff and cannot wait to get the next issue out!
