Kate Smith is a sophomore at Seattle Prep and a first-year member of The Panther staff. She plays soccer both for Prep and for a club team, and she also competes on the track team. Outside of school, Kate enjoys surfing, traveling, baking, spending time with her church community, and her dog! Kate is excited to bring her creativity and love for writing to journalism this year and looks forward to contributing to the Prep community through her writing.
