This October 6th, join the Seattle Prep community in the Healy Theater at 2pm to come watch “A Spooktacular Fall Concert” hosted by the Seattle Prep Choir. This year’s fall concert will include a wide variety of performances from the Freshman Band, Glee Club, and the Seattle Prep Choir. The concert will showcase an impressive selection of songs with instruments such as bass, drums, violin, guitar, and piano. The audience will get the chance to see Seattle Prep students perform songs in French, Arabic, and English.
Two of the students performing will be seniors Juan Guerra and Belle King who have participated in the choir program for three years and are very excited for the opportunity to play in the concert. During the concert, Guerra will be playing the flute while King will perform as a singer. Through their performance, they hope to display the hidden musical talent at Seattle Prep and their dedication and love for putting these concerts together. The choir groups have been practicing since the beginning of the school year in preparation for this event. Despite the nerves that come with performing, Guerra and King both feel prepared and confident that the concert will be a success through the hours of work they have put into it and the strong community that has been built within the Seattle Prep Choir.
This year’s choir program including window choir, freshman choir, sophomore choir, and advanced choir is officially the largest number of participants Seattle Prep has ever seen with approximately ninety students. The head of the choir program, Mr. Weeks says that any person attending should “expect to leave happier than you came.”
In the spirit of Halloween, the audience is encouraged to dress up for the event! To show support for the musicians and bring a spooky atmosphere to the show, all are welcome to dress up in school-appropriate costumes. Don’t miss this opportunity to support and see the tremendous musical talent within the Seattle Prep community!
