Nika Dellisanti is a freshman this year at Seattle Prep and is a varsity player for the Prep soccer team. Dellisanti came from St. John School, which she attended for all 9 years of elementary through middle school. Coming from St. John, Prep was a much larger school which was the biggest shift for her coming into her freshmen year . Though meeting so many new people can be overwhelming, she was excited to meet the rest of her class and get to know them throughout her time at Prep. Some of her favorite things about Prep so far are the football games as well as the all-school assemblies. The positive school spirit and energy that she saw at these events stood out to her.
Dellisanti has gotten involved in the Prep community by becoming a member of the Cooking Club, Environmental Alliance Club, and is excited to participate in these activities. Dellisanti explained how her favorite class is math with Mr. Bennett because he is constantly telling jokes that brighten her day. Dellisanti is a proud member of Bellarmine Collegio taught by Ms. Slack and Mr. Meyer. Collegio is one of Dellisanti’s most difficult classes because of the amount of material taught, how frequent she has the class. She enjoys Collegio’s class structure explaining, “You learn so much new information each class and I like how they split the class into half literature and half history and how they manage to relate both subjects’ content.”
Dellisanti dove straight into the Prep community and has become involved as a student athlete. She is a great example of Virtus in Arduis as she navigates such a big change and new environment. Prep is excited to welcome Dellisanti as its newest Panther!
