Unexpected Upset in Tug-of-War

Unexpected Upset in Tug-of-War

Seniors and Faculty: the ultimate rivalry in Olympic week tug-of-war. This year, the seniors seemed to be lacking the usual size and strength on the team, barely making it past some underclassmen teams. The faculty, on the other hand, stormed through the competition with an ease unknown to past tug-of-war teams. Despite this seemingly clear domination that the faculty played with, the finals proved to be a challenge.

Seniors on the left, Faculty on the right, who would come out victorious? The game began, seniors pulling the rope in their direction, starting the game off unexpectedly strong. However, their momentum slowed, leaving the crowd wondering if the weight of the faculty team was too much to endure. Then, as the crowd roared, the seniors pulled back with a strength baffling for their size. The seniors won in a back and forth match that was key to the seniors’ overall Olympic week win.
