Nakata Triumphs in Super Smash Bros

In this year’s very exciting Olympic Week, there have been various competitive events that have resulted in many different and surprising outcomes. The games varied from the wiki race to basketball.

In one very nerve-wracking, competitive, exciting event, senior Jarrid Nakata won. The event was the Super Smash Bros video game.

Super Smash Bros is a Nintendo video game that is a crossover between many different Nintendo franchises. Some of these franchises include Mario, Donkey Kong, Luigi, Link, Samus, Captain Falcon, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Mother, F-Zero, Yoshi, Kirby, Star Fox and Pokemon. Super Smash Bros is a video game is a four player action fighter. All of the action of the game takes place on one screen, from a zoomed out third person perspective.

The goal of the game is to beat up the opponents and knock them off of the fighting platform to score points. The more damage the opponent sustains, the farther one can throw them off of the platform. This game is very fast and takes skill.

Nakata was able to defeat his opponent using his skill of the game. The senior was able to defeat all of his opponents bringing himself, and the senior class, a victory which benefitted their overall victory of the games.
