Collegios Jam It Out in the Kinect Dance Off

On Thursday, Collegios across all grade levels took to the theater to battle it out in a tournament of epic moves in the beloved Kinect Dance Off.

In the dance off, members from each Collegio as well as the faculty and seniors jam it out to a selected song, trying their best to accurately emulate the moves on the screen. Ultimately, whoever racked up the most points through their dancing took the spot as champion for that round. The event was filled with highs and lows for every grade as well as some twists that left people on the edge of their seats, such as when sophomore Fiona Killalea ’20 eliminated the faculty team, or whenever a dancer took first place over their opponent in the last-minute combo move section.

The event went on to reach its peak in the closing ceremony of Olympic Week, where the two Junior Collegios Hopkins and Kostka battled it out to see who the ultimate dancer was. In the end, Hopkins took the lead with Alexis Wong ’19 at the help, defeating Kate Leahy ’19 of Kostka Collegio.
