Karaoke Teams Show Off Talent
There seemed to be an unofficial 80’s theme in the finals of Prep’s 2018 Olympic Week’s Karaoke Competition. Seniors took the win with an energetic performance of Jason Derulo’s “Watcha Say”. Junior Collegio Hopkins took second and Sophomore Collegio Juana took third.
The Sophomore performance included a popular meme, starring a girl with goggles, dancing to “Take On Me” by A-ha. Singers for the performance included Claire Todd, Kennedy Mott, and Kellen Carr.
During the Junior performance, Ryan Shimizu and Grace Kopp sang “Hello” by Adele and Moses Kent also sang “Funky Town” by Lipps Inc. The dancers sported typical 80s themed outfits with bright colors, metallic leggings, and sweat bands.
For the winning performance, Seniors Aliyana Haag, SJ Brackett, Matthew Lange, Ashley Mah, Erin O’Driscoll, Samuel Pelly, and Savion Washington-Jenkins performed their last karaoke dance in their prep career. It was clear that all three teams were aiming for the crown and showed off their impressive singing and dancing skills. Though not all three teams could be winners, it was clear to the audience that each performance was filled with talent and fun.
