Sophomore Jousts to the Death Against Faculty
Inflatable Jousting is one of Seattle Prep’s most anticipated and entertaining Olympic Week events. Players from all grades came together in the gym to stand on two pedestals, helmets on and sticks in hand as they fought in three-round battles. Students in the bleachers watched during lunch as opposing Collegios and classes compete to force each other off the inflated podiums until just two were left in the final bracket.
To much of the school’s surprise, the senior class did not make an appearance in the final round of jousting, making it one of the few events they did not participate in during the last Olympic period. During the Olympic Week Closing Ceremony, Sophomore Henry Pehl represented Jogues Collegio as he faced off against a faculty member during an intense face-off. Pehl took the win as he beat the faculty member in the first two rounds, earning Jogues an extra 200 points toward their final score.
