Wiki Race

For the first time in Olympic Week history, the Wiki race is being featured in the competitions. In this stressful computer game, the contestants have a topic on Wikipedia to get to from another topic, and they can only use the links on other Wikipedia pages to get to the new given Wikipedia article.

This competition included both harder topics like William Shakespeare to Fireflies by Owl City, and easier topics like Seattle to salmon. Hugh Killalea ’19 of Kostka Collegio won the competition after winning several rounds. Overall, the Wiki race attracted a very large audience, especially for the size of the room (I103). Maybe next year there will be a bigger room for a bigger competition!
